When I was super young, I had three obsessions: nail polish, Aladdin and Pocahontas. And other stuff, but I distinctly remember those three subjects being quite the long-lasting interest.

Only one of those has changed.

I was at first baffled by my cousin's SUPER nineties lime green nails but intrigued. I wanted my own colored nails. Pink, of course, so I could pretend to be the Pink Power Ranger because of course I was fabulous like Kelly. But then I wanted blue, no wait, yellow, and well, I still can't make up my mind as to what color I want on my nails. Sometimes, I even want all of the colors but unfortunately, I only have twenty nails.

Sigh. It's such a conundrum.

I then went through an awkward tomboy stage, then came along Avril Lavigne and her sharpied black nails (remember that?!) and that was hot shit at age... well, young, and there I was, back in the throes of lacquer. I still haven't lost my love for a great black and my rocker chic-gone-equestrian style still appreciates dark nails. Vampy reds, sultry plums, you name it, chances are, I will probably be wearing it sometime that week.

Today, I live in Washington DC which is a beautiful city. I've lived here for a few years now, and I work for a major affordable luxury brand. I do yoga almost every day, along with reorganizing my closet.
